Amazon drivers step up to serve and uplift PPS families

As the 2019-20 school year wound down and turned into summer, Portland Public Schools continues to keep its meal distribution running to help feed our families. For families who are unable to get to the 14 school meal sites, Amazon stepped up.

Harriet Tubman Middle School students take field trip to see 'Harriet' the movie

The entire student body at Harriet Tubman Middle School had the chance to see the new movie about their school’s namesake. The students attended the movie, “Harriet,” for free, thanks to a partnership between Oh Planning Design and Architecture to The Fund for Portland Public Schools.

Portland Schools To Start New Nonprofit, Take Over Local School Foundations

Portland Public Schools is starting a new nonprofit, The Fund for Portland Public Schools, to pull in money from philanthropic organizations. The fundraising arm of the district will also begin overseeing 42 local school foundations — a transfer from local nonprofit All Hands Raised.
