Make a qUALIFIED cHARITABLE dISTRIBUTION (qcd) gIFT

Making a QCD is a wonderful way to support The Fund for Portland Public Schools while benefiting from significant tax advantages. Contact your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) Plan Administrator and let them know you wish to make a QCD for The Fund for Portland Public Schools.

Make a Bequest

Allocate any amount, percentage, or the remainder of your estate or other assets to The Fund for PPS through your will or revocable living trust. It’s easy!  And donors who leave a bequest can take an estate tax deduction of 100 percent of the gift’s value. This is a perfect way to benefit Portland public school students with assets you no longer need, creating a lasting legacy for generations to come!

Designate a Retirement Plan

Name The Fund as a beneficiary of your retirement account as a way to give back and gain tax savings. IRA accounts listing The Fund for PPS as the beneficiary are free of estate and income taxes.
